Yoga and Meditation Classes in Sidcup, Bexley, Chislehurst and Hextable, Kent with Clair Yates

One-to-one and small group yoga classes

I have been very lucky to have been able to take advantage of one-to-one tuition with my teachers to assist my own yoga practice and believe it’s a great way to learn and develop as a yoga practitioner.

My own one-to-one students have really appreciated a space to learn in a very personal way and the improvements I see in their practice develop very quickly.

One-to-one classes offer the benefits of:

  • individual attention, beneficial for recovery from illness, injury, periods of stress for eg
  • learning techniques to reduce stress and relax that are personal to you
  • a convenient time that is arranged with you
  • assistance with specific postures that you may be interested in or have questions about
  • deepening your own personal yoga practice

One-to-ones are about you as an individual and the format and content will be developed to suit you. I will ask you to fill out a questionnaire prior to our first session so that we can get the most out of our time together.

Sessions can be held at your home or office, or at my home in Sidcup in my private dedicated yoga room, where I have plenty of space and all the yoga equipment we might need.

Sessions for small groups and families can also be arranged.

Small group yoga classes for friends, colleagues, couples, or family yoga sessions, can be a great way to spend time together while learning techniques and developing skills that can help you relieve stress and tension.  At the same time, the sessions will be improving your strength and flexibility and generally helping you to feel better.

These can take place at my home in Sidcup or if you prefer home yoga classes or workplace yoga classes please let me know and we can discuss the details.

If one-to-one or small group yoga is something that interests you, please contact me and we can chat in more detail to see if this is for you.

Testimonials for private one-to-one yoga classes and family yoga sessions:

“Following surgery which led to weight gain due to being unable to exercise, I didn’t feel confident enough to go to the gym.  By going to yoga with Clair I began to feel more confident about my body as well as stronger.  Not only did this help my mood it also meant I felt more able to be active in my daily life, take better care of myself and therefore the benefits were even greater.”

Marilyn, Sidcup. August 2017

“2014 has been a year that I have started yoga again after a few years of not having or making the time for classes.  Knowing its benefits I feel now 9 months in, I can say that having 1 on 1 sessions with Clair has been and is fantastic.

Practicing week on week helps each part of my life and I am reaping benefits in my job, golf, my overall wellbeing, and health. Clair ensures that all our sessions are planned out and adapted to how I am feeling and each one feels unique to me.

Clair has given me the confidence to practice on my own and also encourage other friends to feel better by the benefits that yoga can give. I even led simple salutes when on a girls’ holiday earlier in the year!

A very organised and professional individual Clair has been a welcome addition to my life and her experience and enthusiasm bring more than just yoga but a great positive energy which would be missed.

Clair could convince anyone to be a yogi. It’s not all about stretching, breathing and meditating it about a discipline that can be transferred to every facet of life. Reading this you to could be a yogi or if you already are you know what I mean!”

Georgina, Swanley, Kent.  August 2014

“I love our family yoga sessions with Clair. I have a busy and somewhat stressful life. I am a mother to two young children and one has a chronic illness and needs 24hr care.  Yoga is a time for all my family to relax and experience deep calmness.  Clair is fantastic at working around all the cats and dogs and children’s tantrums that can occur during our sessions and tailors the session to suit our particular needs of that day.

All of our family gain a lasting sense of calm and peace after the yoga session, especially our disabled son and it makes dealing with life’s stresses much more manageable.  Thank-you Clair.”

Sam, Bexley, Kent.  May 2014.
